The scope of that work can range from simply writing brief encyclopedia entries on topics that interest you to assisting in the editorial work on large, multi-volume historical encyclopedias.

If you would like to write entries for any of the publishing projects that we are currently developing or if you would simply like to be considered to write for any future projects, please join our mailing list indicating your interest in academic projects, or e-mail us if your area does not fit neatly within the broad categories listed.
Journals
Each issue of Journal of the West is highlighted by a series of articles on a theme central to the history and life of the region, but we also publish articles unrelated to the themes, on any subject pertinent to the history and life of the American West.
Should you have an idea for a future theme issue of the Journal that you would like to edit, an article that you have written that you would like to have the Journal’s editor and editorial board consider, or a desire to become a part of the Journal’s extensive team of book reviewers, please contact us.
